Today's  bike ride begins with a gradual climb out of San Piero a Sieve to the ancient town of Scarperia, worldwide famous for its cutlery. Here you can enjoy a guided tour inside the Vicari Palace and its Museum of Cutting Tools.

Then we'll head to the small village of S. Agata, where we'll stop for a visit to the Rural and Artisan Life Museum with Self-Moving Figures.

From S.Agata, following a small dirt road, we'll ride through the typical Mugello countryside to the Bosco ai Frati Friary.        Ubaldini Family founded it before year 1000.

Next stop will be Cafaggiolo Castle, surely the most famous building in Mugello and almost a symbol of this valley...

San Piero a Sieve - Santa Maria a Spugnole Parish Church  -  Trebbio Castle  -   Passo del Giogo  -  31 km. (15 unpaved)  -  total vertical :  900 m.

On the third day we'll ride the panoramic uphill to the pictoresque Trebbio Castle, built in the 15^th Century on the site of a former medieval tower and surrounded by age-old cypresses. 

Before reaching the castle, we'll make a short deviation to the 1000 years old Santa Maria a Spugnole Parish Church...

Then we'll climb out of the valley, riding a very panoramic and quiet dirt road up to the fairy meadows of the Giogo Pass, on the Apennine Ridge.

Passo del Giogo -  Colla di Casaglia  -  15 km. (13 unpaved)  -  total vertical :  300 m. 

During this 3rd stage we’ll ride along the Apennine Ridge to the Colla di Casaglia Pass, enjoying magnificent views from all over the trail.

Colla di Casaglia  -  Colla della Maestà  -  Acquacheta Waterfalls  -  San Benedetto in Alpe  -  35 km. (all unpaved)  -  total vertical :  500 m.

On the 4th day we'll ride on the Apennine Ridge to the magic Acquacheta Falls...
